2010 New Year's Resolutions

1. A Publishing Contract. It's probably stupid to resolve for a publishing contract instead of "writing a perfect manuscript" but let's be honest, I want the contract.

2. A kick-up - just like the Jonas Brothers!

3. Self-care. Apparently, at my age, it's advisable to wash one's face, use night lotion, and brush one's hair. Fine. I'll give in to the peer pressure.

These are fabulous goals, Martha!

But, I think someone lied about the brushing of one's hair.

LOL I was wondering what a kick up was. That's some skill right there. No doubt the publishing contract will come your way this year!

I guess since I hit 30 last spring I better work on that whole washing of the face at night too. Or is it okay to skip it since I'm usually too tired at the night after all my writing? Sounds like a darn good reason to skip the whole hair brushing too.

Good luck and Happy New Year! So excited about 2010!

Is the hair thing a load of crap? Because I'm willing to trade it in for "bake more pie."

Alas, I *have* noticed since hitting my 30's that the ol' face isn't as scrubbed and shiny as it used to be.

Hope you're 2010's are also filled with publishing contracts!!

Forget the washing of the face. Just use a good cleansing cream at night and a good moisturizer in the morning. This has stood me in good stead from about 30 to 70. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. Brushing the hair? I can't say because mine has always been short. Washing the hair? Every other day, especially if it's oily like mine (and Martha's) Do Not Cheat on this one. Clean hair is also good for the face! Chelly

Hmmm, these are ambitious goals. Years of resolving at NYE has taught me to be VERY conservative with goals. I suggest a quarterly check-up, for example if your face keeps breaking out BECAUSE you are shocking it with cleanliness, maybe it's time to change your face product OR the resolution.

I love my nightly face washing routine. I recommend it. Also, eye cream. The hair brushing? Ehhhh...yes on that one too. The publishing contract? God speed.
