Watch It: Star Trek
I absolutely friggin' had to see the new Star Trek movie at the opening show. I was surprised by the lack of costumes (I mean...even the opening of Firefly had costumes) but thrilled at the movie.
Here's my SPOILERtastic writeup ...which I did during the movie (so pardon the short squee-ish sentences.)
TRAILERS!!
Inglorious Bastards - lotsa Quentin talkie. BJ Novak from Office as killer? Whaaa?
Terminator - hottie bfriend Christian. Machines taking human prisoners? Didn't they cover this on Sarah Connor Chronicles?
GI Joe - Sienna is smokin'! But Tatum is prettier. Kinda miss old school american hero vibe.
UP -Funny every time I see it!! SQUIRREL! Why didn't I invest in Pixar?
Land of the Lost - boob joke? really? come on!
Transformers - oooh, new trailer! What's up with Megan? clothes please? Flag count in Michael Bay trailer = 1. Restrained? Coulda used more Josh Duhamel.
MOVIE STARTS!
Sweet, ship scene!
Jim's Papa in charge of dire sitch. "Heart rate elevated" - no shit!
Hmmmm....smells like time travel. Done well in many ST TV eps already.
Crap - autopilot NEVER works when you need it!

ROFLMAO. I loved it - though disappointed in you for taking any attention off of the movie. *sigh* what am I going to do with you? Obviously I have to take you to go see it again - THE PROPER WAY.
LMAO! You wrote this while watching? Hella multi-tasker! I may have to link you on my blog because no review I could dream of writing will ever be as cool as this blog.
-This was AWESOME.
-Spock aka Syler stole the show. He was an awesome Spock. Super nod to Nimoy.
-WTF with aging Winona Ryder instead of getting an actress the right age to play the part?
-How beautiful and un-obvious blue screen was our first look at the enterprise?
-"Did you leave the parking break on?"
-I want to jump Bones' bones. SEXY! He was perfect, perfect, perfect!
-Zulu kicked ass.
-Bana as Nero - wow.
-Scotty was the perfect comic relief. I want a gargoyle alien.
-"So her first name is..." "I have no comment." LMAO!
-I still chuckle when I say, "inwisible".

I do not really like old Star Trek and not a fan of next generation Star Trek, but I am on track to like NEW GENERATION Star Trek. We'll probably see it this week.

Loved your post! Loved the movie! Star Trek forever, baby, with this franchise. Go J.J. - genius man. Uhura/Spock - perfect!!!!! Jim with blow up hands - too funny. Loved the humour and loved that Jim got beat up so much - but what a pretty face to beat up. Sigh.
Must see it again.
