I Am Procrastinating

What I do when I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing.

Download It: You're The Voice

I'm a child of the 80's. I escaped, unscathed, from fan-bangs, doubling up neon socks and tagging white acid-wash jeans. But I'm a sucker for the music. Every synthesized note.

You're The Voice rules whether you can find the original John Farnham recording (damn you, Itunes for not carrying it) or any of its covers (David Foster works in a pinch but Heart's not bad, either).

You won't be able to resist the catchy chorus.

Listen to it in public. Sing along. There's no shame.

Wow, I don't remember that particular gem, but I'm with you on the whole 80's synth love. But if I had to admit to my deep down, soul shaming, guilty pleasure I'm going to have to go with Bryan Adams - Cuts Like a Knife, Somewhere, Heaven- seriously, it doesn't get much better than that.

I don't remember this one either. My guilty pleasure 80's song is "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves.

The 80's was SUCH a fun time to be a teenager, wasn't it?

What's not to love about The Cure, Depeche Mode, the Talking Heads, Adam Ant, and yes, Bryan Adams? *saw him in concert, snuck PINK champagne*

Oh man, Depeche Mode - I think I was convinced I could grow up to marry ALL of Depeche Mode. I missed this Bryan Adams boat....

I love everything 80s - especially the rockers like Journey and Springsteen and Duran Duran. Too many to name!

And don't forget the brilliant one hit wonders like Taco. 10 points if you remember what song Taco sings. LOL.

Hi Martha!

Yes, the '80s were definitely a fun time to grow up. I remember I was just starting college when Janet Jackson's "Control" album came out. That was my fave in 1986. Can't believe it's been 20 years?! Wow, now I feel old!
